Center for HBCU Research, Leadership, and Policy

The Center for HBCU Research, Leadership, and Policy is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic student to join our team through the Federal Work-Study program. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience while contributing to the Center’s mission of advancing scholarship, leadership, and policy initiatives in support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and Support Visitors – Greet guests warmly, assist them in a courteous and professional manner, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for students, faculty, and visitors by answering questions and guiding them to the right services.
  • General Office Assistance – Keep our office running smoothly by organizing files, entering data, scanning documents, and ensuring workspaces and supplies are well-maintained.
  • Event and Program Support – Help bring the Center’s events to life by assisting with the planning and coordination of forums, lectures, policy discussions, and community gatherings. Duties may include preparing materials, setting up spaces, and assisting with post-event wrap-up.
  • Special Projects – Contribute your skills and ideas to a variety of special projects, along with other assignments that help advance the Center’s mission.

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours that accommodate academic commitments.
  • Morning and afternoon availability preferred.

At this time, we are only hiring students who are Federal Work-Study eligible, which unfortunately excludes non-FWS students.
