FWS-CS Project Coordinator

Job Title: FWS-CS Project Coordinator/Administrative Support

St. James is undertaking a comprehensive building evaluation and renovation project to ensure that our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for generations to come. The church is located in a brownstone building, which the church owns. The mixed-use building encompasses both residential apartments, a basement and church spaces including the sanctuary, fellowship hall, pastor’s office and main public bathrooms. 


 

This effort aims to:

  • Assess the structural soundness of the entire property
  • Modernize essential systems and common areas while preserving the building’s historic character
  • Create more accessible, efficient and sustainable spaces for worship, community programs, and residents

Through this initiative, St. James seeks to honor its legacy while investing in the future - ensuring our building continues to stand as a place of refuge, fellowship, and transformation in Harlem.


 

About the Role:

The Project Coordinator ensures smooth coordination between all stakeholders engaging in the project. This role focuses on scheduling, documentation, and follow-up on project milestones.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project schedules, site visit logistics, and meeting coordination
  • Track and organize inspection reports, drawings and correspondence
  • Prepare summaries and updates for church leadership 
  • Support budget building and recordkeeping for engineering tasks


 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, or facilities management projects
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Proficient with Google Workspace
