About the Organization

She is Resilience is a trauma-informed, heart-centered private practice founded by Giovonni Hinton, LCSW.

Giovonni is an intuitive psychotherapist dedicated to creating safe and affirming spaces for healing within communities of color and LGBTQ+ individuals.

 

At She is Resilience, we are dedicated to helping sexual assault survivors, mothers, and marginalized communities heal through writing, music, and poetry. We facilitate  joy-centered workshops, perform at open mic nights, and participate in speaking engagements at community healing events that blend mental health awareness with the power of art and storytelling.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Creative Media & Marketing Intern to join our team. This role is perfect for students who are inspired by social impact, storytelling, and the arts — and want to gain hands-on experience bringing a healing-centered brand to life through content creation and community engagement.

As an intern, you’ll collaborate directly with Giovonni to support the visual and digital presence of the business and its community events, including trauma-informed workshops and open mic nights.

Responsibilities

Capture high-quality photos and videos at workshops, open mic nights, and creative events.

Create visually engaging social media graphics, flyers, and promotional materials.

Assist with video editing, short-form content, and storytelling for social media platforms.

Support marketing campaigns that highlight upcoming events and community initiatives.

Help organize creative assets and contribute ideas for branding and visual identity.

Collaborate on new ways to share healing-centered messages that align with the organization’s mission and values.

Ideal Candidate

Majoring in Communications, Marketing, Film/Media, Graphic Design, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

Passionate about mental health, storytelling, and social justice.

Skilled in tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Captions, CapCut (or eager to learn).

Able to attend occasional in-person events in the DMV area.

Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively.

Appreciates authenticity, community care, and creative expression.
