Student Videographer

The Student Videographer will work directly with the Howard Athletics Assistant Athletic Director of Media Relations. The main function of the student videographer position is to film content capturing Howard Athletic events and activities pertaining to or associated with student-athletes or supporting staff.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

The student videographer will be integral in filming student-athletes/coaches/staff and sporting events at Howard University. 

Areas of coverage include:
• Athletic Games/Practices
• Photo Shoots (Media Days/Recruiting Shoots)
• Press Conferences
• Special Events
• Community Outreach
• Other Misc. Athletic needs
• Able to work on expedited timeline


Equipment Used & Responsibility
• Working knowledge of a DSLR Camera.
• Working knowledge of Canon Lenses
• Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere/Aftereffects) - Editing

Qualifications:
• Knowledge and Understanding of Sports
• Ability to Anticipate Sports Action
• Takes Initiative (This position requires you to take a project from beginning to end) 
• Willingness to learn, and most of all have fun doing something you love.
• This position requires work on nights and weekends with irregular hours.
