Job Description: Sports High Performance Graphics Assistant
Position Overview: The Department of Health, Wellness, and Performance is seeking a creative and talented Sports High Performance Graphics Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with graphic design software such as Canva or Photoshop and will be responsible for creating visually appealing and informative graphics. These graphics will be used to educate athletes on various topics including sports medicine, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and mental health & performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and produce high-quality graphics for educational materials on sports medicine, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and mental health & performance.
Collaborate with department staff to understand the content and objectives for each graphic project.
Create engaging and visually appealing infographics, posters, handouts, and digital content.
Ensure all graphics align with the department's branding guidelines and standards.
Assist in the development and maintenance of a graphics library for easy access and use by department staff.
Stay up-to-date with current design trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality of graphics produced.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in graphic design software, including Canva and Photoshop.
Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of sports medicine, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and mental health & performance is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a sports or health-related environment.
Knowledge of other design software such as Illustrator or InDesign.
