As a grad, you’ll join an independent central function responsible for objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks.

What role will you play?
In the Risk Management Group, you’ll discover how a sound risk culture has been integral to Macquarie’s risk management framework since inception. This is a direct placement opportunity with our Credit team.

The Credit team manages and oversees the counterparty credit, equity, and asset risks taken by Macquarie. This is delivered through the credit risk management framework that articulates the approach to assessment, approval, monitoring and reporting of these risks.

As an associate with the Credit team in New York, you will gain exposure to several asset classes including leveraged loans, high yield bonds, mezzanine debt, and equity investments across a number of industries.

  • Receive formal training, including financial modelling and presentation skills, but at its core the program provides practical on-the-job learning to further your career.

  • Receive support from your manager and aligned mentor as you gain genuine insight into our industry.


What you offer

  • This opportunity is for undergraduate students expecting to graduate between December 2025 – June 2026.
  • You are a critical thinker with strong numerical skills and can articulate your thoughts and ideas clearly.
  • You bring a proactive, resourceful, and positive attitude as well as a strong work ethic to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong, open, and dialogue-based working relationships.
  • You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.
  • You have an interest in financial services, particularly in credit risk analysis, financial analysis, and due diligence processes.


Estimated salary amount is the equivalent of $90,000 - $110,000 annually. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
