Creative Strategist Intern (UNPAID)
Shero Comics is an award-winning multimedia company creating diverse comic books, animated content, and games that center women and girls of color.
We’re looking for a Creative Strategist Intern who’s passionate about storytelling, pop culture, and innovative marketing to join our team this fall. This is an unpaid internship requiring approximately 16-23 hours per week. In exchange for your time, we offer school credit (if applicable), career guidance, job referrals, and an unlimited supply of glowing recommendation letters.
This fall, our projects will include:
Continuing outreach to libraries to get our books on more shelves across the country and internationally
Planning our next SheroCon convention for March 2026
Preparing for our next Kickstarter campaign for the third chapter in our new manga series
Responsibilities:
Develop and help execute creative strategies for marketing and audience growth
Draft and send media outreach emails
Pitch stories to blogs, podcasts, and media outlets
Assist with campaign planning for events, book launches, and crowdfunding
Create and schedule engaging social media and digital content
Track engagement, campaign performance, and press mentions
Ideal Candidate:
A self-starter with strong writing, communication, and creative thinking skills
Familiar with social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Threads, TikTok)
Interested in comics, animation, publishing, and pop culture
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Current college student or recent graduate
Available for approximately 16–20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Internship for course credit or professional experience
