Resident Advisor

The Resident Advisor (RA) position is a live-in position within the Center for Global Scholars (CGS) at Pierce College. Our residence hall houses both domestic and international students and aims to create a respectful and enjoyable co-curricular living environment. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Housing and Residential Life, the RA will establish an inclusive and responsible community in their designated area and throughout the entire building.   A successful RA will be a leader in the community who demonstrates integrity, sound judgment, and participates in and facilitates a team approach with all Residential Life staff and the CGS Community. 

RAs are responsible for providing programming and engagement opportunities for residents. RAs also hold the on-call phone, assist with lockouts, package distribution, and other administrative tasks, as well as complete safety and security building rounds while on call.

RAs are compensated by receiving a $650 monthly stipend and a free furnished single room for the entirety of their employment.
