Federal Work-Study (FWS) Student Position
The School of Education, Office of the Dean is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic student to join our team through the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience while contributing to the School’s mission of advancing scholarship, leadership, and policy initiatives in support of education.
Responsibilities
Welcome and Support Visitors – Greet guests warmly, provide courteous assistance, and serve as a resource for students, faculty, and visitors by answering questions and directing them to the appropriate services.
General Office Assistance – Maintain smooth office operations by organizing files, entering data, scanning documents, and ensuring supplies and workspaces are well managed.
Event and Program Support – Assist with the planning, preparation, and coordination of School events such as forums, lectures, policy discussions, and community gatherings. Duties may include preparing materials, setting up spaces, and supporting post-event wrap-up.
Special Projects – Contribute skills and creativity to special assignments that advance the Office of the Dean’s mission and initiatives.
Schedule
Flexible hours that accommodate academic commitments.
Morning and afternoon availability preferred.
Eligibility
At this time, we are only able to hire students who are Federal Work-Study eligible, which unfortunately excludes non-FWS students.
