Part-Time Diesel Technician - Skilled Trade Operations

Summary of Job Duties:

The Part-Time Diesel Technician is responsible for the safe, timely repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty transit vehicles, passenger vehicles, and other fleet vehicles used in transporting passengers to specific destinations within the City of Fayetteville Arkansas. 

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to effectively communicate to be able to perform job duties

AND

Currently enrolled in a diesel technology program or equivalent hands on experience in a diesel technology field

OR

At least one year of experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Diesel Truck Technician Certification or appropriate military service training

Associate’s degree or advanced specialized or technical training

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

ASE Certification

At least one year of heavy truck/ transit maintenance experience


Additional Information:

Graduate students are subject to background checks.

 

Maintenance in Training $20.00

Maintenance Tech I (0-750 Hours) $22.00

Maintenance Tech II (751-1500 Hours) $23.00

Maintenance Tech III (1501-2500 Hours) $24.00Maint. Tech IIII (2501 + Hours) $25.00


Salary Information:

$20.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
