Fourth and Fifth Grade Classroom Teacher

Saint Mary School located in beautiful Ridgefield, CT is seeking  warm, compassionate, faith-filled educators for fourth and fifth grade teaching positions. The candidate will:

Demonstrate effective planning skills by preparing lessons with stated goals and objectives
• Promote a classroom environment that is positive, welcoming, and safe
• Create a highly engaging learning environment
• Demonstrate competence in teaching by having current knowledge of curriculum and elementary subject matter
• Effectively manage children using research-based strategies and approaches that foster growth
• Connect and communicate effectively with children
• Organize an engaging space for learning
• Continue to acquire professional knowledge in your craft
• Encourage family engagement
• Communicate with parents
• Be an active member of a faith community

Qualificaitons

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Education or a related discipline
• Valid State Teaching Certification in appropriate grade level and/or subject or in the process of attaining a Teaching Certificate
