Certified Nursing Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across a variety of healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient support, medical documentation, and clinical procedures, with experience in long-term care facilities. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients while supporting healthcare teams with critical tasks and compassionate service.
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems and ensure proper documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities.
- Assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Support patients in post-acute care environments including rehabilitation centers or outpatient clinics by delivering compassionate caregiving and monitoring recovery progress.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the respective state.
- Prior experience working in high bed capacity settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation.
- Experience in areas such as geriatrics, or behavioral health is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices essential for high-quality patient care.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength including lifting patients safely using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
