Data Center Technician

Job Title: Data Center Technician I
Location: Umatilla, OR; Hermiston, OR; and Boardman, OR
Pay Range: $25-27

What's the Job?
• Serve as a primary resolver for hardware infrastructure issues within the data center environment.
• Support and share knowledge of hardware and network technologies with team members.
• Perform hardware replacements and repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Assist in troubleshooting server and network issues using basic Linux/Unix command line skills.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental guidelines to maintain a secure and safe work environment.

What's Needed?
• High school diploma or equivalent.  
• Basic networking knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP (1+ years) OR CompTIA certification
• Familiarity with hardware components inside servers/computers (1+ years).
• Ability to perform hardware replacements and repairs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily.
• Ability to follow required security protocols including metal detection screening.
• Required to work in data center environments with variable temperature conditions.
• Temperature fluctuations dependent on seasonal changes and external weather conditions.
• Work areas may contain environmental allergens and airborne particles including dust.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Standing/walking for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Capability to work in various environmental conditions.
• Ability to adapt to varying temperature conditions within the data center environment.
