Project Manager

Project Manager – Fabritek Company Inc.
Location: Winchester, VA
Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person

About the Role
Fabritek Company Inc., a precision manufacturing and metal fabrication company in Winchester, VA, is seeking a Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll coordinate production scheduling, vendor relationships, and cross-team communication between sales, engineering, and the shop floor — helping ensure projects for our aerospace and industrial customers are delivered on time and to spec.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production scheduling and coordinate timelines across machining, fabrication, and quality teams
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between sales, customers, and the shop floor for active projects
  • Track project status, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve delays
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on materials, lead times, and outside services
  • Review job specifications and drawings to ensure production teams have what they need
  • Maintain clear project documentation and status updates for leadership and customers
  • Support quoting and estimating processes as needed
  • Help drive continuous improvement in production workflows and communication

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, production scheduling, or operations — manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable reading technical drawings/specifications or willing to learn
  • Clear communicator, able to work across sales, engineering, and production teams
  • Proficiency with scheduling/project management tools (e.g., Excel, ERP/MRP systems)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a machine shop, or with CNC machines/welding. 

Preferred (not required)

  • Experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or precision manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Background working with aerospace, industrial, or drilling equipment customers
