Location: 950 Selden St, Suite 137, Detroit, MI 48201 and/or 666 Selden St, Suite B, Detroit, MI 48201

Hours: Part-time (20-25 hours per week)

Compensation: $16-18 per hour

Overview
Roar Brewing Company in Midtown, Detroit is seeking a Social Media, Marketing (Sales) and Events Manager. If you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting and have a love for experiences centered around craft beer, this position is for you! 

Responsibilities:

Marketing (Sales) 

  • Contact local businesses that are interested in carrying Roar Beer, schedule tastings, and coordinate with distribution team to build strong account relationships
  • Support the development and execution of multichannel marketing campaigns across social media platforms, email, print, and digital channels
  • Schedule and attend off-site tasting events
  • Collaborate with sales teams on B2B marketing initiatives and product management projects to increase distribution channels
  • Assist in budgeting for marketing activities and coordinate print advertising efforts to ensure cohesive brand messaging
  • Communicate with co-packing facility and distributor to track available inventory, marketing supplies, and accounts

Social Media

  • Create and post trendy Instagram Reels and TikToks
  • Create Instagram and Facebook posts that align with brand story
  • Create online marketing materials for new products and events
  • Create spotlight posts for vendors and partners

 

 

Event Planning and Coordination

  • Respond to email inquiries, provide rental quotes, build packages, and execute events for customers
  • Reach out to community partners to create curated, collaborative events between businesses
  • Promote any collaborative events on social media
  • Work with management to create, promote, and host in-house events such as karaoke nights, open mics, trivia,  game nights, etc.
  • Manage invoices and ticket sales for events

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools including SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, and analytics platforms like Google Analytics
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple projects efficiently
  • Basic understanding of product management principles, budgeting processes, and advertising strategies
  • Reliable transportation - local travel to capture content is required
  • Must be available to work during all scheduled events, include evenings and weekends
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity working with Meta Business, Canva, TikTok, G-suite, and Eventbrite
