OST Site Director

Sunrise of Philadelphia is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Site Director to lead one of our Before School, After School, and Summer program sites.

As the Site Director, you won't simply oversee daily operations – you'll build a strong team, create an engaging environment for youth, partner with families and schools, and drive the overall success of your program.

This position is ideal for an experienced leader who enjoys coaching staff, solving problems, building relationships, and creating programs where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn every day.

Sunrise of Philadelphia provides high-quality Out-of-School Time (OST) programming for children and teens throughout South, Southwest, and West Philadelphia. What You'll Do

As the leader of your assigned program site, you will be responsible for every aspect of site performance.

Program Leadership

• Lead the daily operations of Before School, After School, and Summer programming.
• Recruit and enroll youth while maintaining strong attendance and engagement.
• Ensure engaging, high-quality programming that aligns with Sunrise's educational model and funder requirements.
• Use attendance and program data to improve site performance and youth participation.
• Conduct regular observations to ensure high-quality instruction and youth engagement.

Staff Leadership

• Hire, train, coach, and supervise instructional staff in partnership with Human Resources.
• Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Conduct staff meetings and performance evaluations.
• Address performance concerns promptly and professionally.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Administration & Compliance

• Ensure all attendance, enrollment, meal, and program records are accurate and submitted on time.
• Maintain compliance with OCDEL, DHS, CitySpan, and grant requirements.
• Manage site budgets, supplies, and inventory.
• Keep the site audit-ready through organized documentation and consistent oversight.

Family & Community Partnerships

• Build strong relationships with students, families, school administrators, and community partners.
• Serve as Sunrise's primary representative at your assigned school.
• Communicate proactively with Sunrise leadership regarding site performance, challenges, and successes.

Schedule

This is a full-time, year-round position leading the daily operations of your assigned Out-of-School Time program(s), which may include Before School, After School, school break, and Summer programming - this may include morning, afternoon, evening, and occasional weekend responsibilities for trainings, family events, or special programs.

Qualifications Required

• Associate's degree or higher in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with youth
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage employee performance
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet)
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and navigate stairs

Preferred

• Experience leading grant-funded programs
• Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply.
