Student Worker General Assistant

Student Worker: General Assistant- (Federal Work-Study Position) 
Flexible placement across university departments 
 

Position Summary: 
Support various sections within the departments of the Center for Teaching and Excellence (CETLA) and Office of Digital and Online Learning (DOL) with tasks related to data entry, administrative work, reception, learning experience design, graphic design, technology, and multimedia. This role offers hands-on experience in digital learning, academic operations, and professional support services. We are hiring multiple positions in this role. 

Your Responsibilities May Include: 

Assisting with general administrative tasks like organizing files, scheduling, and preparing materials. 

Providing reception and front desk support. 

Supporting course design and learning experience development. 

Creating graphics, multimedia assets, and editing presentations, flyers, videos, and podcasts. 

Helping test and use instructional technologies or digital platforms. 

Entering, organizing, and analyzing data for tracking departmental reports. 

Drafting and formatting reports, documents, and learning resources. 

Collaborating with staff on projects and department-specific assignments. 

What You’ll Need: 

Federal Work-Study eligibility (required). 

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Clear communication and time management skills. 

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe, or Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms is a plus; training will be provided if necessary. 

A professional, dependable attitude and willingness to learn. 

Interest in learning experience design, education, social media, and technology is helpful. 

Work Schedule: 
Up to 20 hours/week during the academic term; flexible based on your availability.
