214149 IT EFP Compliance - Fall Co-Op

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op candidate to join our IT EFP Compliance department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As an Co-Op, you will support the IT function as they provide technical support and platform services to the US Ethics & Compliance Office and the Corporate Compliance function. As you support an IT team with global responsibility, you will become part of a diverse group of team members, working other with colleagues in Ridgefield, Ingelheim, and Buenos Aires. Your support will make a difference as we look to drive innovation and critical-thinking in the Compliance space at BI.

Duties & Responsibilities:
·      Support Operational Excellence in IT EFP Compliance:
o   Review incident dashboards, resolve tickets, and define a process to prevent Service Level breaches,
o   Monitor internal stakeholders to follow up on ticket resolution,
o   Correct routing of tickets to the teams that are necessary for resolution,
o   Define opportunities for automation of manual tasks,
o   Maintain Compliance documentation in an audit-ready state,
o   Assist with resolution of batch run status failures,
o   Build of test scripts for testing applications used for compliance reporting,
o   Contribute to process review and documentation of ‘future state’ processes,
o   Support review and resolution of outcomes from 2021 US reporting cycle.
 
Requirements:
Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.
 
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
·      Working towards a degree in Computer Science or IT is preferred,
·      Fundamental understanding of Healthcare space is preferred,
·      Fundamental understanding of the Legal/Compliance space is a plus,
·      Possesses excellent Written and Oral communication skills strongly desire
·      Demonstrates a winning spirit through with positive energy and a ‘can do’ attitude,
·      Works well in a collaborative team environment,
·      Seeks an opportunity to work in an international and inter-cultural environment,
·      Possesses analytical thinking and the ability to drive change,
·      Capable of working in a fast-paced and agile work environment.
·      Is a self-starter.
·      Entry level SQL knowledge or other querying technology a plus.
·      Entry level Python, Robotic Processing Automation, Excel Macros, or other automation technology a plus.
 
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
