About the Role

Job Title: Business Development Analyst

As a Business Development Analyst, you will specialize in Market Research and Business Development, focusing on leveraging data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and facilitate growth opportunities within our organization. Your role will be pivotal in conducting in-depth market research, identifying emerging trends, and providing actionable insights that guide business development initiatives. While we do not require a college degree for this position, we are seeking an individual with exceptional social and communication skills, who can network effectively, foster relationships, and maintain high-level data management across large portfolios to drive organizational growth. Your expertise in data analysis, market intelligence, and relationship-building will support the company’s expansion efforts and maximize competitive advantage. We will provide the necessary training! 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
    1. Conduct comprehensive market research to assess industry trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics.
    2. Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities, new market segments, and emerging customer needs.
    3. Provide insights into market positioning, pricing strategies, and product differentiation to inform business development strategies.
    4. Attend conventions and conferences to promote and network for Tyrula.
  2. Business Development Support and Pipeline Management:
    1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development initiatives, including market expansion, partnerships, and acquisitions.
    2. Guide opportunities through the entire sales pipeline, from initial identification to contract award.
    3. Maintain the sales pipeline using the CRM tool.
    4. Establish and maintain relationships with Contracting Officers and Program Offices to ensure alignment and improve the Probability of Win (Pwin).
    5. Conduct outreach to key stakeholders, including contracting authorities, to gather intelligence and improve positioning.
    6. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to guide investment decisions, product development, and market entry strategies.
    7. Assist in the development of business proposals, pitch presentations, and strategic plans to capitalize on market opportunities and drive growth.
  3. Competitive Intelligence and Benchmarking:
    1. Gather and analyze competitive intelligence data to benchmark performance, assess market share, and identify competitive threats.
    2. Monitor competitor activities, product launches, and market movements to anticipate industry shifts and inform strategic decision-making.
    3. Develop competitive profiles and SWOT analyses to guide business development efforts and enhance competitive positioning.
  4. Continuous Market Monitoring and Analysis:
    1. Stay adept in industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes through ongoing research and monitoring.
    2. Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market feedback to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies and make recommendations for optimization.
    3. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation, and competitive advantage based on market insights and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Required
    • Must work in the United States
    • On-site at the Vienna VA, location
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong Data Analytical skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Preferred
    • Experience with IT pipeline development and CRM tools
    • Proposal writing experience
    • Government sales experience

Education

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Liberal Arts, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
