Revenue Science Analyst
Executing quantitative analysis of non-standardized internal or external data to support the organizations global strategies. The primary responsibilities include assisting in producing analytical views from quantitative metrics related to business plans, actual or forecast enterprise performance, industry, competition, market, and customer segments.
Essential Functions
- Develops statistical reports, attends business meetings, and uses computer-aided decision support tools, programming languages, relational databases, and visualization tools to accelerate data analysis and reporting.
- Assists in producing analytical views in support of business decisions from quantitative metrics related to business plans, actual or forecast enterprise performance by revenue or volume or other dimensions, industry, competition, market and customer segments.
- Develops statistical reports to share significant metrics with the enterprise per requirements from manager or senior level peers within the team.
- Attends business meetings within and outside the team along with the manager or senior team members to understand various business functions related to the enterprise.
- Develops excellence in computer aided decision support, (e.g. SAS, SQL, Python, C, VB.net, Java, JavaScript or R), relational databases (e.g. Teradata, Oracle) or visualizations tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire) to accelerate data analysis and reporting.
- Provides updates up to mid-management (typically within the department).
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
Masters degree in business, mathematics, economics, computer science or other quantitative fields such as engineering/operations research.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong human relations, communication, and analytical skills required.
Knowledge of programming languages (like SAS, SQL, Python, C, VB.net, Java, JavaScript or R), relational databases (e.g. Teradata, Oracle) or visualizations tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire).
Preferred Qualifications: Possesses a solid understanding of financial concepts and pricing principles. Can conduct financial analyses and develop profit and loss statements using pricing systems. Determines go-to-market pricing tactics to support business objectives. Ability to formulate data-driven pricing recommendations that align with organizational objectives. Demonstrates strong communication skills to advocate for strategic pricing initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
Additional Details: This is hybrid position in Collierville, TN; Harrison, AR; Pittsburgh, PA; Lakeland, FL; Plano, TX and candidates must live within 50-mile radius and required to work at a FedEx Campus several time per week. Deadline: 10/29/24 5:00pm CT
