Training & Capacity Building Specialist (Internship)
Overview:
Aiden Anthony LLC is seeking a Training & Capacity Building Specialist Intern to support the development and facilitation of culturally affirming training, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives. This role is ideal for someone interested in adult learning, facilitation, organizational development, and racial equity. The intern will gain hands-on experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and strategic training implementation for organizations and communities working toward systemic change.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and refinement of training materials, toolkits, and curriculum on topics related to racial equity, housing justice, child welfare, and organizational transformation
- Support virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and learning engagements
- Conduct research on best practices in capacity building, facilitation techniques, and adult learning principles
- Help assess training effectiveness through participant feedback, surveys, and evaluation tools
- Develop interactive learning materials such as case studies, discussion prompts, and scenario-based exercises
- Assist in coordinating logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, communication, and participant support
- Track emerging trends in equity-focused training, professional development, and leadership capacity building
- Collaborate with the team to integrate trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches into training content
Qualifications:
- Interest in training, facilitation, and capacity-building for social impact organizations
- Strong research, writing, and instructional design skills
- Understanding of racial equity, social justice, and systems change frameworks
- Experience with curriculum development, workshop facilitation, or adult learning theory is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint, Google Suite, or learning management systems is helpful
- Ability to work independently and think creatively about engagement strategies for learners
Location: Remote or Hybrid
Hours: 10-20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Compensation: Unpaid internship/work study if eligible
