Training & Capacity Building Specialist (Internship)

Overview:

Aiden Anthony LLC is seeking a Training & Capacity Building Specialist Intern to support the development and facilitation of culturally affirming training, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives. This role is ideal for someone interested in adult learning, facilitation, organizational development, and racial equity. The intern will gain hands-on experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and strategic training implementation for organizations and communities working toward systemic change.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and refinement of training materials, toolkits, and curriculum on topics related to racial equity, housing justice, child welfare, and organizational transformation
  • Support virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and learning engagements
  • Conduct research on best practices in capacity building, facilitation techniques, and adult learning principles
  • Help assess training effectiveness through participant feedback, surveys, and evaluation tools
  • Develop interactive learning materials such as case studies, discussion prompts, and scenario-based exercises
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, communication, and participant support
  • Track emerging trends in equity-focused training, professional development, and leadership capacity building
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches into training content

Qualifications:

  • Interest in training, facilitation, and capacity-building for social impact organizations
  • Strong research, writing, and instructional design skills
  • Understanding of racial equity, social justice, and systems change frameworks
  • Experience with curriculum development, workshop facilitation, or adult learning theory is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint, Google Suite, or learning management systems is helpful
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively about engagement strategies for learners

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Hours: 10-20 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Compensation: Unpaid internship/work study if eligible
