Your Role:
Research and Intelligence Gathering
- Proactively identify expiring federal contracts across targeted agencies and NAICS codes using tools like SAM.gov, FPDS, USASpending, GovWin, and other databases.
- Research incumbent contractors, including performance history, contract values, contract vehicles used, and points of contact.
- Track procurement forecasts and pre-solicitation activity to anticipate opportunities before public release.
Pipeline Development
- Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on fit with ITM Group’s core capabilities and contract vehicles.
- Maintain a strategic pipeline of upcoming contracts, with data points on value, scope, timeline, competition, and teaming potential.
- Present opportunity snapshots and pipeline updates to internal stakeholders to guide capture decisions.
Partnering and Teaming
- Identify and assess potential teaming and subcontracting partners.
- Maintain a database of qualified partners with past performance and capabilities aligned to our target markets.
- Support outreach and relationship-building efforts with potential partners.
Strategic Support
- Assist in developing go/no-go recommendations for targeted opportunities.
- Contribute to internal process improvement projects that streamline pipeline development and market intelligence gathering.
- Coordinate with proposal and capture teams to ensure smooth handoff of researched opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor federal procurement systems daily for relevant opportunities.
- Gather and synthesize data on upcoming solicitations, expiring contracts, and trends in federal spending.
- Support development and maintenance of company capability statements, partner profiles, and past performance summaries.
- Keep SharePoint and online opportunity tracking system up to date.
- Contribute to proposal strategy by providing key intel on incumbents, pricing trends, and potential competitors.
- Maintain and update internal libraries for past performance, partner data, and contract histories.
Who You Are:
- Preferably at least 1+ years of experience in federal market research, business development, or government contracting. Candidates within an equivalent college discipline may be considered.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement tools and processes (SAM.gov, FPDS, USASpending, GovWin, etc.).
- A methodical researcher with a knack for connecting dots, spotting trends, and digging deep for insights.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable summaries.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Bonus points if you’ve supported proposal teams or capture planning in the past.
